Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will reportedly sack three Man United players despite not getting guarantee of having a permanent deal at Old Trafford next summer.

The 46-year-old has had a couple of meetings with United chief Ed Woodward about the players he wants to let go next season.

Club captain Antonio Valencia is already confirmed to leave the Theatre of Dreams as the Ecuadorian's contract is set to end this season.

Argentine international Marcos Rojo will also be cut by the Norwegian boss having suffered recurring injuries, and United feel they need to strengthen their center-half position.

The last is Alexis Sanchez who has been unable to justify his £400,000-a-week earning since his January 2018 arrival from Arsenal.

Sanchez has been deemed surplus to requirement as the Chilean is battling with series of injuries since the start of the season, Daily Star claims.

The 30-year-old has featured in 20 matches in all competitions scoring just once against Everton last December.

Solskjaer still has the Champions League and a top four to contend for in the Premier League this season.

The Red Devils' were recently drawn to play tournament favourites Barcelona in the quarter finals of the elite competition.

And with seven games to go on the domestic scene, Man United still have crunch games against Chelsea and Man City, which will go a long way in determining their place for a top four finish.
